Crank Works Mountain Bike Night Ride

5:45pm. Meet at Tucker Hill Fire Tower, 26416 Croom Road  (5.2 miles east of US-41), Brooksville. Join the adventurous night time ride through the off-road trails of the Croom Wildlife Management Area. Helmets and lights are required. Rides take place weekly on Tuesday and Thursday evening. With the assistance of a facilitator, participants apply the Socratic Method to delve into meaningful questions we don’t often have time to ponder in our daily lives. Five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships. The Dixie Swim Club focuses on four of those weekends and spans a period of thirty-three years. It is the story of these five unforgettable women-a hilarious and touching comedy about friendships that last forever. Tickets are $12.00 per person. Family activities include the Open Bike Ride, the Blueberry Patch Kids Zone, the Blueberry Theater, and the Blue Mountain zip line rides. 63rd Annual Hernando County Fair

5:00-11:00pm. Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 Broad Street, Brooksville. The Fair features nine days packed full of fun for the entire family! Enjoy contests, arts and crafts displayed and for sale, livestock shows and auction, a demolition derby, a truck and tractor pull, baby animals to pet and feed, rides, games, food and live entertainment. Admission: Adults, $8.00; children age 6-12, $4.00. Parking is free.
Special admission dates:
Friday, April 4: Kids Day – free for ages 17 and under.
Monday, April 7: Military Appreciation Day – free with a military ID.
Wednesday, April 9: Senior Citizen Day – gates open at 3:00pm, $4.00 admission for age 55 and older.
Saturday, April 6, all gates open at 1:00pm.
Saturday, April 12, livestock gate opens at 9:00am, all other gates open at 1:00pm.
