Touch-a-Truck provides a unique opportunity for children to explore vehicles of all types: public service, emergency, utility, construction, transportation, delivery and just plain cool vehicles – all in one place! Kids of all ages will be allowed to touch, climb on and ask questions about their favorite trucks in a safe, supervised environment. Wild Wednesday!

 

5:30-7:30pm. Chinsegut Conservation Center, 23212 Lake Lindsey Road (CR-476, one miles west of US-41N), Brooksville. From your own backyard to the wild outdoors, you can explore the culinary skill of developing outdoor flavor! You will learn to cook using cast iron cookware on an open fire or on a camp stove, including how to maintain your cookware. Instruction on preparing one or two main dishes, using wild game, if available, along with side dishes and a yummy dessert will complete the class. Friday, October 24, 9:00am-10:00pm. Withlacoochee Training Center, Childs Road (off US-41N, approx. 1.5 miles north of the CR-476 intersection), Brooksville. Receiving cattle and horses for sale during the day, followed by supper, a brief meeting, auction of "cracker stuff," and gatherin' around the campfire. Registration is $30.00 per person and includes three meals; $10.00 for children age 12 and under. RSVP is required. Onsite lodging at the training center is $30.00 per adult; complimentary for children age 16 and under with paid adult.
